Luis Rafael Moscote-Salazar, MD, is a researcher, IMG and neurosurgeon, inventor, academic editor, and global health advocate with a strong interest in neurosurgery, neurotrauma, neurocritical care, neurosciences, clinical trials, research methodology, medical ethics, and healthcare innovation. He has extensive clinical and academic experience, with numerous peer-reviewed publications and international collaborations.

His research interests include traumatic brain injury, neurotrauma, cerebrovascular disease, clinical research and trials, research integrity, bioethics, brain trauma prevention, and innovative approaches to healthcare. He is also involved in the development of medical device concepts and healthcare innovations, as well as multiple academic projects, including research studies, systematic reviews, clinical research, and book chapters.

He is also the founder of the Moscote Neuro and Surgical Aid Foundation, a U.S.-based initiative focused on providing neurosurgical and surgical assistance and humanitarian support to underserved communities and low-income countries around the world.
